Not too long ago, I was a disorganised mess, lacking even the most basic skills in the art of prioritisation, information management and daily structure. The debate over what forms the best type of context rages long and hard still and I’m certainly not going to approach it here!

The methods I learned there have gave me greater confidence and speed (i.e. I have sought out learning in various forms to learn how to accomplish this goal. We live in a world blessed with an abundance of information, knowledge and other learning resources. To reach those goals faster, learning is the answer.

If there are forms that need to filled in and it has a due date in June, I put those forms in the June folder with a bf date on it for a week before it is due. I create a corresponding Task reminder and write something like this: WAITBIN need to prepare form for production by March 23rd. Too much information.

It also eases your bosss mind when they see you write it down, it gives them confidence it will be taken care of. Is it for your information or something to put in your tasks to do later? Put it in a folder for your boss’s signature in completed form, i.e. envelope clipped to letter and attachments.

I am good at some things, but not as confident in other things. Where I used to work we had a Mailroom and I would plunk what I needed in a tray with a form to tell them how I wanted it to turn out and return to get it when it was finished. Let your fingers do the walking: Quick keyboard sh. Too much information.

Food, food and more food If your event requires food the venue will send you a banqet event form and you will need to estimate the amount of food you need. This is something you really need to experiment with and you will gain more confidence to order less and know there will be enough food. Too much information.
