What I think (personally) isn’t too smart is the people who rip themselves up to SHREDS, emotionally, internally and thoroughly trying to hit that stupid 50k marker without any clue why. If, in theory, you had all six in solid form before you wrote your novel, you wouldn’t need three or four or more drafts, as King suggests.

Sometimes I even had the feeling that the source code on the editor was forming a twisted and evil smiley. Frustration Level (0 – 100): 25 – There was an increasing internal pressure for finishing things up which made me quite nervous. I also added a Help and FAQ section. You kidding me? Loads of bugs.
