Nobody seems to really know what its called, but Powerpoint Remote was given as a common name. It's called a Presentation Remote.

I was in a workshop today on presentation skills and one of the things they had us do was present something to the group while they filmed us. Other than the extra work I need to do at the gym to tone up and trim down, I saw some good qualities as well and it was helpful to see myself present. Thanks Anonymous for sharing.

Networking at a conference does little good if you never speak with the person after the event. If you meet someone at an Administrative Assistant conference, for example, make sure to follow up with that contact within a week or two after the event. If you discussed a need at the conference, be sure to address it.

Recently, we wanted to see who was off site and at what event, so we decided when people are away at conferences, etc. For instance if I was going to be away to attend a conference I would put: Pat off site (IAAP/Toronto) This way we can keep track of who is going where, when. Where's the remote thingy for the PowerPoint?

If you are the presenter you have to study and know your subject well which helps you to be more confident in what you know and you also gain experience in making presentations which can help you in your career. Where's the remote thingy for the PowerPoint? Lunch n learns are also a good way to learn from each other.

I recently met with another administrative assistant and as we were discussing an upcoming admin conference, we started to talk about our role and how we are the do-all and go-to position in our offices.
