I love working in admin, but I have been stuck in this dead end job for more than a few years now without a raise. I also haven’t been growing or learning anything new since Day 1 because my boss won’t give me projects. However, even after taking many classes on the various programs I still haven’t gotten any new tasks.

Finnigan says recruiters, who often called young job seekers “challenging,” now report Generation Y job candidates are more willing to compromise on salaries or job duties. Today, more than 50 percent of candidates say they will take the salary offered. At least they will be that way for a couple of years!

I make an incredible salary so when I tell my husband and friends I want to explore other avenues, they think I'm crazy. If I had more work to do and would be learning along the way, I would stay. I knew I didn’t want to job hunt for more than 6-9 months if I didn’t have to. My boss seems oblivious. Many thanks!
