It began several years ago when I started working for Mr. H as a temp. I’ve been an executive assistant for several years and I’ve received a lot of training but I’m not a facilitator or a trainer. Administrative assistants go above and beyond and take on new assignments with little to no background, training or experience.

Now's a great time to set a foundation and train your executive (if they are willing and learn to trust you) so a precedent can be set. Tech glitches happen all the time and 2 people controlling one person's calendar is not the easiest thing. If you are out sick, a temp will have to sub for you. You ask a very good question!

We also get a mini break when our boss is traveling as the stress level is generally lower and we can catch up on our workload. Other jobs, because they were temp to full time, I didn’t even have the benefits of paid vacation time or paid sick days for almost a year. Always be kind, humble, reasonable, polite, and firm.
