I was stressed out from the pace of work and also the length of a couple of special projects with a long lead time. We also get a mini break when our boss is traveling as the stress level is generally lower and we can catch up on our workload. A week or two ago, it was one of those weeks where my brain just felt tired.

Now's a great time to set a foundation and train your executive (if they are willing and learn to trust you) so a precedent can be set. Tech glitches happen all the time and 2 people controlling one person's calendar is not the easiest thing. If you are out sick, a temp will have to sub for you. You ask a very good question!

The amount of skill, pressure, stress, and problem solving differs at each of those levels. EA work is typically admin work - phones, travels, calendars, expense reports, mtgs/luncheons, etc. Yes, you are playing baseball, but are you a pro or in the little leagues? It’s because they trust you.

Right now I just put things on his calendar and order food. And as I was working, job hunting and/or temping, I had to find other sources of happiness. Reduce the stress and annoying things in your life to maximize your happiness. Many people think working at a t.v. station is glamorous but it's just like working anywhere else.
