It's December, the time of year when our thoughts are drawn to holiday festivities and the purchase of gifts. As a small business owner, it's also the time when you need to think about what you are going to do about client gifting. And if your business is totally project-based, you may not feel that a client gift is appropriate.

Except in the case of “foodie” travelers, most people will pick restaurants based on convenience and location rather than the hottest artisanal eats. Using resources like Open Table will allow you to see all the top-rated restaurants around your traveler’s meetings and hotel. However, they don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

She has lists of gift ideas, quotes for greeting cards, honey-do’s and much more. Restaurants. Birthdays - (if you don’t put them on your digital calendar system), group by date, as reviewable (those during a month, put in tickler for that month, etc.). For example, she tracks all our shopping lists. Bills to pay.

I have lists for the different holiday related categories – gift lists, holiday dinner menus and cooking plan, and festivities coordination (all the parties and fun activities!) Now, yes, having all of that organized is helpful but the gift list is really where it’s at. Then view the board in Calendar mode – boom!
