What dates and times does he or she have available (keeping in mind time zones for away meetings)? Secure the date and time in his or her calendar, taking into consideration travel time if outside the office. Enter it in calendar. Dealing in real time. Minute taking made easier.

If it is a big project I use a calendar and write down all my required to-dos on the dates I need to get them done to make my deadline. If I am told that I should have it in the next few weeks, or can expect to receive it in a couple of months, that doesn’t really help me with my follow up as it is not a definite date.

My favourite to-do list is a calendar timeline so I can see at a glance where I am at and what I need to do to get there. It is simply using an on-line calendar with space on each day to enter what needs to be done. I feel confident as I check off each item that things will be done on time. Dealing in real time.
