I work for a magazine and we hire freelancers for all sorts of reasons. Think of it this way: You can only do so much and getting a helping hand will get those extra tasks completed when the need to be completed – on time and right the first time. You only have to hire a freelancer for the jobs that need urgent attention.

on how to create a seminar in just ten easy steps, I was pretty darned pleased. A seminar is a fantastic way to show off your stuff, get people interested and get them buying from you. Seminar is a word used to mean a huge array of different formats of various lengths and complexities. So… when’s yours?

I also can use the recording to make a cd and give to potential clients or current clients instead of a business card or brochure. Press released become blogs and Facebook updates can become the basis for a seminar. I also developed a one-hour seminar on setting up a mini website. I start by writing my weekly blog.

Who said it was smart to give a one-hour free seminar, speech or workshop almost every single day? Not businesses who sell services. As of now, my website is more like a business card – something I can point prospective clients towards after I’ve already made initial contact. We did this to ourselves.
