Some have lost jobs, didn’t get promotions or pay raises, or lost funding due to employer budget cuts. My advice is to grab a member and become a mentor or get mentored! The other alternative to the internet is - pick up a book! Admittedly, this year has been challenging- economically and environmentally.

Give your manager reasonable estimates of what your team can achieve and keep him or her informed of major issues or delays which come up. As well, it’s always a good idea to budget more time and resources to a project than you think is necessary to lessen the stress of unexpected setbacks. Set boundaries. Don’t work alone.

And I guess the other thing that was surprising about that one in high school like right before graduation, they announced like, half the class wasn’t gonna pass unless they got their grades up.

We don’t carry much cost – particularly when it comes to training us up. and 51% said they didn’t feel confident asking for career development budget. Why promote an assistant who is making your life a whole lot easier? I was very much brought up by parents who thought children should “wait until they are asked.”
