I logged onto my computer last week and put in my network password, then to open my Outlook account I had to put another password in for that. Even if you phone the bank they need your secret passcode or they wont speak to you about your account. Lets enjoy our day together.© August 02, 2010 Patricia Robb said.

Sometimes I wish I had something to warn me when I am with someone with a cell phone so I can know that we are going to be interrupted. I find it frustrating when people either text while in a conversation or are constantly taking phone calls. Apparently not, when its by phone. In an emergency, the cell phone is a useful tool.

Do you ever get a meeting request and an agenda has not been provided, or if it is a teleconference the call-in details have not been given or the boardroom hasnt been booked for an internal meeting? When booking meetings ownership of the meeting has to be established. Is the boardroom booked? Whose responsibility is it anyway?

I breathe a sigh of relief when I get someones assistant on the phone or receive an email from them. I could help them and they could help me, but I also found it to be good networking. I finally had a chance to sit down and read your book over the holiday. I heard about my current job from an assistant I dealt with regularly.

This is where an assistant network can come in handy. I often reach out to my network to get answers to problems that come up at the office or just to lend a sympathetic ear. I can tell you my friends and colleagues got a lot of phone calls in those early days and it was a wonderful resource and help to me. Excellent material!
