Heres a link to download a copy of the sign , if youre interested. The easiest way to avoid this is to create a "Do Not Disturb" sign and place it somewhere on your cubicle that can be seen clearly. Many of my colleagues have used this method and I have never seen anyone complain, from either side.

If you receive a file that was written in the Microsoft Office 2007 format, you can download the patch called Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats. The only downfall was that if you accidentally sent the client a Microsoft Excel XP version, they wouldnt be able to open it.

txt files, pdf’s, presentations, spreadsheets, and probably several others. The ability to easily email any one of those files right from this app is AWESOME and makes this app completely worth downloading. I don’t do much traveling, but I imagine this would be a crazy-awesome tool for people on the go.

In a nut shell, you download the free software , install it and it’s always running in the background. It might even keep you reading information in the browser, instead of focusing on your original task. There is a more productive method that you can use to conduct your research. There is a new service called Kallout.

After the meeting, provide a copy of the meeting minutes to everyone involved in the meeting. You will notice that your meetings will run much smoother once you apply these methods.

  Eliminate a lot of paper by having your statements sent to you electronically in PDF format.    Then , either go to the manufacturer's web site and download the manual (to be saved electronically in a computer file) or check out www.Retrevo.com.   Most banks now offer this service for free.

A Self-Hosted Wordpress Blog. My scanner serves all these purposes -- scan a document in and you can then e-fax it over the internet, print out a copy, edit it directly through OCR software, save it as a PDF and toss the paper. I travel by car to see many of my clients, in their homes. It is FREE to use! Create a custom page.
