When you attend tradeshows or networking meetings, do you later experience the business card pile up? We meet new people all the time and have lots of detailed business conversations. I have found that the Contact Keeper is a much more organized and streamlined way keep cards and conversation notes. The time is now!

It is imperative to be proactive about self-promotion in order to showcase your skills, achievements and personal brand. If you request to attend a Training Day and they say that time away from the office is the main issue, then you need to make the conference seem as undisruptive as possible. So promoting your personal brand is imperative. What you need to understand is that promoting your brand isn’t a one-off gig – you need to keep up a steady stream of positive impressions on a daily basis. They read a blog you’ve written. They see what’s written on your business card. They read your Twitter profile.

Forward interesting and pertinent links, blog posts etc. I post, blog and share current business ideas, projects, clients and ventures. By doing so - I've received business just because someone 'remembered' I'd mentioned something prior. ." If you add value they're likely to return the favor.
