I keep a number of notifications alive, like new friendship requests from Facebook, replies form Twitter and PayPal (yeah, I do love those daily tiny alerts telling me that people are still buying my books or that I just received some affiliate payment). Depending on the tool you choose, you can use color codes, set priority levels, track progress, establish deadlines and even ask your system to remind you (via text or email or pop-up usually) of appointments or to-do items or anything else you so desire. I keep a copy of this in my online Dropbox and a physical printed copy in my planner.

I did this exercise last year and it proved to be one of the most challenging blog posts I ever wrote. It also proved to be quite a viral endeavor, “infecting&# dozens of blogs with similar lists. I agree the books were largely based on some of the most popular blog posts and that made the task a little bit easier.

Brian Tracey’s book Eat That Frog! Or, if you don’t feel comfortable deleting Slack, then only check it twice a day the same way you do email. Stop using a desktop client for email. Put those videos in a Dropbox folder and share the link with your people. and Gary Keller’s The ONE Thing both touch on it. Flexibility.
