With the baby boomers working longer and a shortage of millenniums coming into the work forces, you will see a trend of more of the baby boomers, Gen Y’s and millenniums working as a team. Baby boomers are admired for their business savvy, etiquette and professionalism and companies want that to flow over to the Gen Y’s and millenniums.

And who bothers writing out the words e-mail, TV, ASAP or FYI when everyone will know what you mean anyway? Does anyone even know what CNN stands for? It has become such a common initialism that it is recognized immediately and everyone knows what it is.

Some people dont play well in a team and can be like that link in the chain that keeps skipping. What can you do if you are part of a team that is not playing well together? Are you doing your part and contributing to the goals of the team or are you getting bogged down with situations? Good team play can be contagious.

Here is some common-sense etiquette: Screen your calls: Subscribe to call display. However, I think our etiquette hasnt caught up with the technology. Other times we will be talking and I notice his eyes moving to his BlackBerry and I will see he is no longer paying attention to me, but reading emails instead.
