We’ve noticed that the number of administrative professionals have been surfacing on Twitter has been increasing. With more assistants and professionals advocating for and teaching others how to use this valuable communication tool, assistants are seeing the value and deciding to jump on board. I tell redonkulous stories.

We had an incredible webinar event with over 1,300 assistants registered to learn more about why, as an administrative professional, they should consider a career certification. She often lists all associations in the back of her publication and has a wide network across the globe of resources for administrative professionals. (JF).

Do you ever get a meeting request and an agenda has not been provided, or if it is a teleconference the call-in details have not been given or the boardroom hasnt been booked for an internal meeting? When booking meetings ownership of the meeting has to be established. Is the boardroom booked? Whose responsibility is it anyway?

Here is some common-sense etiquette: Screen your calls: Subscribe to call display. However, I think our etiquette hasnt caught up with the technology. I finally had a chance to sit down and read your book over the holiday. I usually snap my fingers and say "Hey, over here!" We joke about it, but it is distracting.

Below are some things that I have found helpful to build my network: Join a professional association such as the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).
