The median household income for families with two full-time working parents is just over $100,000, compared with just $55,000 for households where only one parent works full time, according to a 2015 Pew Research Center survey. Managing that vast earnings gap can be challenging for single-income households. Communicate.

Ardent Partners recently released their 2016-2017 State of Contingent Workforce Management report. The study is based on a survey and series of interviews with mostly HR and procurement professionals at large corporations. This is up from nearly 35 percent in 2015 and just 29 percent in 2011.
