They’re also interesting because they are more reflective of the type of culture the company has. The winner this year was a company called Pet Relocation.

Actually the company’s customer service award can be attributed to the attentiveness and concern for the well-being of their associates. Panera kept employee hours steady when other restaurants were cutting hours.

This will save your company time and money. You really have to be careful with these, as pertinent company information could leak out into the wrong hands. You would either have to spend time shredding the papers yourself or hire a shredding company to do it for you.

It would be interesting to see how many companies would allow for this type of dress code, since quite a lot of places have client visits on a regular basis. I worked for a software company with a casual dress code and men and women both wore shorts all the time (it was in Houston and warm close to year round).

Using e-mail is a great tool, especially if you are trying to cut down on company costs via international phone calls and postage fees. Another point I would like to stress is to archive your e-mails for a certain period of time that either you or your company feels would be appropriate. At least you will have proof of it.
