One of the best kept secrets in Word 2007 is the Word Options button. Wow.this tip almost makes me want to upgrade to 2007 *laughs*.

Make sure your resume is up to scratch: Your resume should list your skills, your experience in working as a virtual assistant, and any other capabilities that you think potential employers are looking for. Alternatively, you can list yourself with other online placement sites as well.

Polish up the ol resume It is all right to send your resume out and see what kind of response you get. In this new age of not doing anything more than a quick spell check on documents, make sure you do not have any spelling mistakes in your resume. Job satisfaction is important. They are interested, now what?

I used to work with someone who was an assistant in the Human Resources Department of a major law firm and has now become the Director of Human Resources in that same firm. They are a valuable resource and I appreciate them. Like you, I list the new assistant as not only a contact but a definite resource for future references. I never underestimate the value of my interactions with other assistants both on and off site. I have found this practice to pay off big just when you need it! 23, 1 p.m. .
