One of the best kept secrets in Word 2007 is the Word Options button. Wow.this tip almost makes me want to upgrade to 2007 *laughs*.

With the flu season upon us as well as colds cropping up, people are wondering about the proper etiquette for shaking hands. It’s funny that this question would be asked of me today, as I was just speaking on business etiquette in Raleigh, NC. That actually is a selfish gesture as germs spread quickly in the workplace.

Today’s assistants are computer savvy, smart and up-and-coming, and consider themselves professionals in the workplace. They each took the initiative to get appropriate training and education to better equip them in the areas they were interested in.

Here is some common-sense etiquette: Screen your calls: Subscribe to call display. However, I think our etiquette hasnt caught up with the technology. Other times we will be talking and I notice his eyes moving to his BlackBerry and I will see he is no longer paying attention to me, but reading emails instead. 23, 1 p.m. .

Many times the administrative assistant position is a good way into an organization and what a great training ground to know an organizations inner workings than in this profession. I think many university students are seeing the value in having this kind of training. Word and Outlook 2007 tips Grrr! I look like that!!
