My new laptop came with Microsoft 2007. In Microsoft 2007 instead of File you press the Office Button which is located at the top left-hand corner of the screen. If you are used to using quick keys, some Alt key functions no longer work in Microsoft 2007. Take the time to explore.

April 17, 2007, one year ago today, was the day service was down and all our bosses were frantic because their wireless hand-held devices didn't work. I wrote this after observing their reactions on my way to work and at work and from speaking to others about this new past-time. Offices were buzzing about what could have happened.

Sometimes you file something in a subfolder in Outlook and then later can't remember exactly where you filed it. There is an easy way to do a search in Outlook in all your folders. In the Search field there is a drop-down menu. Choose "Search All Mail Items". Type what you are looking for and Outlook will search in all your folders.

In 2007, I started this blog and wrote articles on various subjects that would be of interest to an administrative assistant. I enjoy the preparation leading up to the meeting, the actual taking of the minutes and the follow up afterwards. I particularly like senior executive meetings. So how did I get into it?

In Outlook 2007 this feature works much better than the 2003 version. In Outlook 2007, you get the option to recall the message directly from the recipient's Inbox. In Outlook 2007, you get the option to recall the message directly from the recipient's Inbox. Thankfully, there is an option to Recall the message.
