Just this: If you are trying to give yourself a shortcut by not asking for your clients’ permission before you sign them up for your sales list, newsletter, or any other form of unsolicited information, you’re shooting yourself in the foot. It’s more effective to network with your clients and build a personal relationship.

One of the most interesting ebooks was How To Network Awesomely by Colin Wright, a book which I totally recommend. There are tons of other bloggers sharing their insights on networking in that book, not to mention Colin’s own thoughts on this topic. I am pretty good with offline networking, not so good online.

So What Do I Do With My Newsletter/Autoresponder Now? Or someone else will. Many operate solely by logic; they get logical results.

A paid newsletter is another way to deliver content. People can and do pay for these kinds of newsletters.

They work on projects, they do their own customer service, their own customer management, their marketing and networking, their project scheduling, admin and bookkeeping. Newsletters the same. I deleted well over fifty feeds and email newsletters and ended up with just six. They have to stay on top of everything.
