The Bicentennial Gala was great fun last weekend. I think the last time Mat and I got that dressed up was when we got married! You can see us in all our finery on Facebook. My family went back home on Wednesday. It was so lovely to have them here with us; the house is so quiet now. One thing I’ve been learning and hearing about a lot lately is the Marketing Hourglass.

Woohoo… I’m now on vacation for the next few days! This afternoon we’ll be watching England play their second game in Euro 2012 (let’s hope they do a lot better this time!); tomorrow night is our black-tie Bicentennial Gala; and then Monday we’re off to Lake Erie for the day and back Tuesday. I’m enjoying having my family here and having some down time too!

On Wednesday my Dad, brother, and sis-in-law arrived from the UK for a two-week visit. It’s so lovely to have them all here. We’ve got lots of fun stuff planned so I really am taking a light schedule over the next two weeks. This week the boys finished school for their summer vacation … 11 weeks! This means that I’ll be following a lighter schedule during the summer months, which I always enjoy too. It gives me time to plan and make any changes that I want to make so come September, I can hit the ground running! And I have lots of exciting things in the works for the Fall and early 2013 too.
