As wonderful as online learning can be, going to a live conference or seminar with other assistants is something that you should try to do a few times a year. I am not a legal expert and do not claim to give any legal advice. I have had great experiences learning online in interactive courses.

I also learned at a "Working Smarter with Microsoft Outlook" seminar that we should not use e-mails as urgent requests. I am not a legal expert and do not claim to give any legal advice. Anyway, it taught me to re-read, more than once if necessary, an e-mail that I think is negative.
