1) I’ve always found it extremely helpful to be and communicate that you are experienced, but willing to learn, be humble, and fine with doing the mundane tasks or dirty work. I mention how I worked for all my CEOs because I was recruited away as a temp. My goal as temp was to be asked back as a temp repeatedly - that’s it.

One of the most surprising things for me was to learn that not all companies will give you an expense account or a company credit card. Sometimes companies don’t validate for parking especially if you are doing testing at a temp agency and are there for a few hours. You’ll need to make copies of your resume or have a nice folder.

Have a system in place to acknowledge that youve received a resume and/or cover letter when they come flooding in. It may cost you some time in the beginning, but it will save you in the long run when job seekers tie up your phone lines or e-mail asking, "Did you get my resume?" Besides, its just common courtesy.
