The high-octane lifestyle had me feeling tired and worn out; one can only operate at a break-neck speed for so long until you need to go on vacation or really unplug and do nothing. Other jobs, because they were temp to full time, I didn’t even have the benefits of paid vacation time or paid sick days for almost a year.
