It says a lot when your boss wants to grow you within the company and promote you. I would also volunteer at work and socialize with my co-workers during the holiday gift wrapping parties. I mentored other younger assistants. It sounds like things are going swimmingly with your productivity and work performance.

Successful executives are rarely lazy and slow if they earned their title from being promoted through hard work and not nepotism, etc. Don’t automatically assume because the package looks good or the job sounds great on paper you will like it. Job hunting and dating are very similar. They can ask: What hours can you work?

Because I knew nothing about the job except my title (EA) and the dept (I think it was in marketing). And I had a lot of temp work coming my way, I had a lot of interviews about to be booked, I had just started my job hunt, and I had so many unanswered questions. Would I like my boss, my team, my role, my compensation package?
