Then I have my faxes set up as green. Tip: Make sure not to use too many colors, since you might forget to distinguish the important from the less important. For example, I receive an e-mail from my direct supervisor. This will show up in red, since I know I have to get to this one first, before I can even touch any other one.

There are some companies that, unfortunately, don’t allow for purchases such as stationary , fax machines , toner , etc. Do you feel that you could find better buys, not just by going to the different stores such as Staples or Grand & Toy , but online as well? Since I work for a large corporation, this is my case as well.

I work in a back office environment, where 99% of our client interaction is via the phone, e-mail or outside of the office, so I can wear jeans and a t-shirt. It would be interesting to see how many companies would allow for this type of dress code, since quite a lot of places have client visits on a regular basis.
