Ive been in these types of situations quite often, but have learned over time that many photocopiers these days have functions so advanced that it can clean your floors, do your dishes and tuck your kids in at night. Share what you have learned with your boss. Putting the asterisk makes sure it is first on my list. There are many other things you can do with rules so take the time to check them out and feel your way around. It will be worth the effort. Most executives I know want the help and this would be a great way of organizing them.

I had a big learning curve going into it and I didnt know any of the other assistants so I felt all alone with my challenges. The problem that sometimes occurs with sharing with current co-workers is it can turn into office gossip. Having the opportunity to hash it out with another assistant is a great resource.
