1) I’ve always found it extremely helpful to be and communicate that you are experienced, but willing to learn, be humble, and fine with doing the mundane tasks or dirty work. I mention how I worked for all my CEOs because I was recruited away as a temp. My goal as temp was to be asked back as a temp repeatedly - that’s it.

Whenever I meet people for coffee or a meal, I am always interested to learn about them as a person and their work. I love doing informationals because I like learning about what people do, even if I am not in that industry, and perhaps get an office tour down the line, and make a new friend if they introduce me to someone else.

Have a system in place to acknowledge that youve received a resume and/or cover letter when they come flooding in. I went to NYC for a job interview - traveled 4 hours from DC and the hiring manager made me wait half an hour, didn't even offer me a water or coffee. You know who you are. When you post a job, be prepared.
