Tailor your covering letter and CV. I’ve written posts on both covering letters and resumes so all I would add here is that you should tailor your CV and covering letter for each of the jobs you are applying for. Good luck with your job hunt! Totally unfair but totally true!

I want to put my CV on the market but I don't know how to say that I'm leaving behind because my boss has been fired, I don't know when they're going to replace him, I don't have any work to do and I'm worried I'm next on the chopping block! Look for a job CONFIDENTIALLY. My company has now recently started 'cost savings initiatives'.
