Two: When you do follow up with a new contact, add value. Do your research, and follow up with useful information your new contact can use. Then I can add them to my Constant Contact database under "Networking Connections", and/or to my SendOutCards database. I do as I advise people when I consult on business and social media etiquette. I follow up with the contact and add a personalized note as to where we met when I request the link.
