Three months later I selected the location, negotiated the lease, remodeled the space and purchased new furniture, office equipment, and supplies. I was a change agent, confidant and advisor.

Oh yes PAs are no doubt equipped with a much broader skill set than most people (and maybe you) would give you credit for. My first true events project was for an internal communications conference and summer party for 200 people. We also possess a unique set of skills, many of which are transferable into lots of different disciplines.

Alongside sourcing a venue, we have to think about the catering, any overnight guests, travel logistics, dietary requirements, speakers, training materials, seating plans, AV equipment… the list is endless.
