After only 2 weeks, I found a great company through a staffing agency and the position was full time working for a wonderful CEO. The staffing agent asked if I was open to temp to perm, even though the position was for a full time EA, he feels the CEO may need time to see if it is a good fit. How long do you think is fair?

Temp, volunteer, apply for PT work and list that as your present role. So, it's best to search for temporary, short-term admin work via temping, volunteering, applying for part time work so you have something to put on your resume. Social media is big right now, both for companies and individuals.

Q: You mentioned being headhunted consistently by Fortune 500 companies. A: I do agree doing all those basic employment tests are a drag, but companies still feel it's safe to do it and a good way to weed out candidates. They also take into consideration which C-Level executive you assisted and at which company.

I have developed both a great professional relationship and personal friendship with my boss and have enjoyed working with him and the company. He's expressed his appreciation for my hard work and his desire for me to move up in the company once I've decided where I want to be, which I am still figuring out. I love being an EA.
