I also have many contacts and calendar items. What’s worse is that as the keyboard is getting more use, it’s not as sensitive. I also keep a detailed calendar with anywhere from 1500 to 2000 events scheduled. I see the same lag switching in and out of the Calendaring application as I do for emails.

In other words, I wanted to be able to access my email, calendar, tasks, and notes from anywhere. The Tasks in Google Calendar is measly and doesn’t have the ability to set priorities, recurring tasks, and, most importantly, synch with my phone. Google Apps did everything except Tasks. Problem solved. That’s it for now.

Our organization uses Google Apps for our e-mail, calendar and cloud solution. On a daily basis, I make liberal use of the following two keyboard keys: 1. If there is a task involved, then schedule it in your calendar or put it in your task list. Facebook updates go directly into a Facebook folder, etc.

Typing addresses is easy with both the on-screen and the slide-out keyboard. I can group shortcuts and place games on one, navigation and product search tools on another, multimedia apps and pictures on the third, calendar, news and Office viewing tools on a fourth, with the home screen filled with social media and messaging tools by default.

We do have to keep our company privacy in mind when sharing and never give specific details, but it is easy to give a general work situation and no one is the wiser as to who it is about and no company secrets are shared. Smile you are on candid camera: Just because you can take a picture with your phone, doesnt mean you should. Minute taking made easier.
