Oftentimes, they have never met me, but may recall my name or my boss’ name when I mention it over the phone. For example, you start speaking in short hand to other assistants and it doesn’t come across as rude because it’s meant to be efficient and not waste time with small talk. And then ‘war stories’ come out sometimes.
