Last week I received a cool message about two administrative professionals who attended the Joan Burge, "Takin It to the Streets" one-day workshop. Both assistants attended different parts of the tour, one Chicago, the other Cincinnati yet they are part of the same IAAP chapter. I chose this profession because I enjoy it.

We had an incredible webinar event with over 1,300 assistants registered to learn more about why, as an administrative professional, they should consider a career certification. She often lists all associations in the back of her publication and has a wide network across the globe of resources for administrative professionals. (JF).

I just got my new issue of OfficePro (the IAAP magazine for office professionals) and it was a great read on the bus the last few mornings. I was online completing a form that required a phone number and I didn’t have the phone number handy, while I was conducting a search on the internet, my friend got a regular phonebook and found the phone number before my page could load to show me the results of my search. What if I couldn’t access the internet?

Tax Tip: Complete a Form 2106 – Employee Business Expenses This form is used for expenses NOT reimbursed by your employer that you may have incurred throughout the year.

If you become timid when it comes to speaking in a group meeting, provided you know what the agenda items are prior to the meeting, put them in writing in proposal form and give them to the Chair before the meeting or slide them to him during the meeting.
