’ This was half an hour where everyone called talk about their experiences booking business travel, what goes wrong and how to fix any issues that might crop up. The PA panel was made up of some fantastic and incredibly knowledgable assistants who all book numerous business trips for their Executives and organisations.

For example I always include the following contact details: The out of hours telephone number for the travel agent you booked through. A small list of good restaurants close to the hotel or office. Assist Travel is taking place on Friday 25th September 2015 from 10am to 4.30pm, with a drinks reception until 6pm, in London.

Despite my passion for social media I haven’t always been adept at it and was a twitter virgin until The Assist Conference 2015. You can follow and connect with other Assistants, clients, colleagues, suppliers, brand ambassadors and influencers. Through my work it has enabled me to make great restaurant, hotel and venue contacts.

On the day I reverted to ‘show and tell’ and picked up the annual catalogue of restaurants for both of my bosses which greatly impressed them. If I was ever impressed by a particular restaurant or hotel I would send them the link or bring them in the hard copy brochure to examine. Places are still available for the conference.
