While sitting in the back of a taxi owned by one of the friendliest drivers I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet I surveyed my surroundings and came to the conclusion that King Street is quite possibly one of the greatest streets on earth. I made my way back onto King Street having received a restaurant recommendation from the concierge.

I genuinely think 2014 was a turning point in our industry and I think 2015 will see a consolidation of our efforts to take our profession forward. The situation has improved over the last few years and we have seen record numbers attend events in 2014 but it will continue to be a struggle in 2015. Client Entertainment. Recognition.

During the 10 minutes I had to wait for my room I was able to rest my travel weary body on one of the comfortable sofas next to the open fire in the lobby area. After what can only be described as total oblivion I woke, wiped the sleep from my eyes and surveyed my new surroundings. Now that is customer service!
