Anyway here we are in 2014 and I hope that everyone is settling back into work after the Christmas and New Year break. I think assistants will have an interesting 2014, particularly as it is the International Year of the Secretary and Administrative Assistant with lots planned for our professional development. Despite my passion for social media I haven’t always been adept at it and was a twitter virgin until The Assist Conference 2015. Facebook (liking pages) – by liking Facebook business pages you will be able to see what your contacts and connections are up to and see their updates in your newsfeed.

Meeting other assistants who work near by, who share the same suppliers, hotels, restaurants etc. This then took me into the arena of public speaking and gave me the opportunity to be on the PA panel at ACES 2014.
