I read something that made me pause, but because I was in a big hurry and felt confident that the other person was covering that base, I let it go. I am not sure if it would have changed the outcome, but at least I would feel confident that I flagged it for my boss. Where's the remote thingy for the PowerPoint?

A manager has to have confidence that you know how to do your job. So how did I handle it the second time around? I just did not have confidence that this person was going to be able to assist me. I always have more confidence something will get done when I see it being written down. Dealing in real time.
