In the US, today is the deadline for paying (if you’re required to) 2011 Q4 estimated taxes to the fine folks at the IRS. I know a lot of people really hate paying taxes, and probably won’t pay estimateds, or will wait till zero hour to make it happen. So many people I know wish we could all pay less than we do. Without a doubt, that would be nice. I, personally, used to struggle like mad with paying estimateds.

The gap left where a client needs something that you don't do is a service gap. Having a database of valued resources who can fill those gaps allows you to be a one-stop shop for all your clients' needs. Be sure to have more than one vendor for each gap.you never know when someone might be unavailable, or where a client/vendor fit isn't just right and you need to offer another option.

Build resources you can share with your clients, allowing them to choose their own vendors and paying them directly. This reduces your liability while still allowing you to make things easier for the client--both very good things!

There are 27+ million small businesses in the US. Granted, many of them are far larger than the client population Virtual Assistants usually serve--but that might not always be the case. At least seven millon of those are home based. They all need help, and we provide a very real, effective and efficient way for them to get what they need. If every VA had seven of them, think how many VAs would have to exist for us to reach critical mass?
