Learning related: 69% reported they learned new skills. 68% reported they improved their existing skill set. 67% reported they attend events at their coworking space occasionally (45%) or often (21%); only 4% said they never attend events. Social related: 87% report they meet other members for social reasons, with 54% saying they socialize with other members after work and/or on weekends. 78% reported that coworking helps keep them sane.

Census recently reported that the number of U.S. The U.S. nonemployer businesses reached 22.7 million in 2012. This is up 1.1%, or 245,000 businesses, from 2011.   These businesses generated $1 trillion in total revenue, up 4.2% from 2011.

Only 58% of Employers Think Employees are More Loyal Than Freelancers

  The survey also reports that almost all employers are satisfied with the performance of their contingent workers. Key quote: Ninety-seven percent of employers who use independent contractors report they are satisfied with their performance, those employers who report they will use more independent contractors are 98 percent satisfied and even those who say they will use fewer independent contractors report a 95 percent satisfaction rate with these workers.
