Interestingly, when we re-ran the State of Independence results with the definitions used in the Upwork/Freelancers Union study, we came up with very similar numbers as Upwork/Freelancers Union did. Upwork and the Freelancers Union released their 2017 Freelancing in America study last week. This is the 4th year of this study.
