She asked me: You told me when we first met that there was a way to actually calculate the cost of disorganization to my business. I thought that was fascinating. Last summer we did a lot of interviews (over 60) with members of U.S. coworking facilities. One message we consistently heard was coworkers felt they were more productive at a coworking facility than they were working from home or from coffee shops. We heard this so consistently, we included several folks explaining why in our Voices of Coworking video.

I've been sitting here for an hour trying to think how to write about this without sounding like I'm accusing or spanking anyone.Not sure I can, so I'll ask you to know my heart, and that that's not the point of this at all. This week for USA Today I wrote about a new survey by More magazine showing that three-out-of-four women say they would not apply for their boss' job, partly because of the pressures that go along with it. The survey also found that 43% of the women surveyed say they are less ambitious now than they were a decade ago. And only a quarter of the 500 women ages 35 to 60 say they're working toward their next promotion.

But I’ve come to realize over the past couple of weeks that, with all the traveling I do, it’s just not efficient for me to keep switching from Outlook when I’m in my office, to Gmail when I’m traveling and using my laptop, back to Outlook again when I’m back in my office.
