Answer the phone correctly. "Yo!" Answer the phone, giving your first and last name. If you take a message, make sure you get the correct spelling of the persons name and the phone number (repeat it back). Just as you would not pop your head into someones cubicle and blurt "report due today!" is not the proper way.
