Even came up with 4 4 tips for traveling long distance. So, I usually take with me my identity card (in Europe I can travel only with that, I don’t need a passport), my driver license and my passport. Never used traveler checks so far. I’m a digital nomad and traveling without any of these won’t make sense.

It seems like the hotel has given quite some thought to the female traveller which always makes a nice difference. There is a well-equipped fitness centre for those that do not want to brave the elements. The restaurant is a great place to hold an early morning business meeting, which appears to be very popular in Washington DC.

I walked over to meet up with Christopher, and after our hellos, we talked about the trek, what food and equipment we’d each brought, our last minute equipment check the night before in an effort to lighten up the packs, among other things. I gave him some water, changed clothes and jumped in too. We still had plenty of time.
