Radisson Blu, Glasgow

Practically Perfect PA

After spending many days in the Atrium of the Radisson I was really excited about seeing the rest of the hotel. Within the hotel there are a number of conference and meeting spaces, all of which were used regularly throughout our stay in Glasgow, and a variety of restaurant and bar areas. Over the summer of 2014 I spent four weeks in Glasgow. During that month I probably spent most of my time in the foyer of the Radisson Blu.

The Landmark, London

Practically Perfect PA

So I made my way down to the TwoTwentyTwo restaurant and bar. The atrium looked particularly stunning in the evening. I had not heard of The TwoTwentyTwo restaurant and bar prior to my stay, which is unusual as I have booked many many restaurant and hotels during my career in London, However, I was so surprised that a restaurant I had not heard of was so good! The Landmark also has a two-AA Rosetta restaurant called The Winter Garden.

Practically Perfect PA visits: The Hilton Anatole, Dallas

Practically Perfect PA

The atrium lobby is beautifully designed with Asian inspired decor. There are also a variety of cafes, restaurant and shops dotted throughout the lobby. I’ve been told that everything is bigger in Texas and that is certainly the case when it comes to the Hilton Anatole. It is a massive hotel! Located in the design district of Dallas, which is just north of downtown, the Anatole sits on a 45 acre plot with a whole host of indoor and outdoor amenities.

Hilton Doubletree, Downtown Montgomery

Practically Perfect PA

A massive atrium at the centre of the hotel gives the place a real heart. Our final destination was one of Montgomery’s best known restaurants Wintzell’s Oyster Bar. And with most restaurants pictures say much more than words. Montgomery’s official population is 205,000. This is pretty small for a US city and Alabama’s state capital doesn’t even sneak into the US’s largest 100 conurbations.
