We held our first Assist Travel conference and exhibition on Friday 25th September at the Hilton Bankside and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the day. As with all of our Assist Events we like to make sure that it is a little different and I loved our travel themed registration desk. ’ This was half an hour where everyone called talk about their experiences booking business travel, what goes wrong and how to fix any issues that might crop up.

There are already  lots of 2015 travel trend lists out.  According to the World Travel Market Global Trends report golf is in a decline, dropping from 25 million players in the early 2000s to 19 million in 2013. Waiters on Water: According to the Wine Enthusiast's travel trends list , you no longer have to swim up to a bar or climb out of the pool to get a drink. They expect these fares to continue to decline in 2015 due to increased competition.

I average about 12 trips per year and in 2015 I’ve done less than half of that. Even still, my past travels have shaped how I travel now and one of the things I pride myself on is “walking the productive walk” as much as I talk the talk. This will probably amaze most occasional travellers to one of London’s busiest stations but Eccleston Square and its superb five star Eccleston Square Hotel really does offer quiet amongst the madness. Apparently this is pretty common among travellers as a way to relax and unwind after a long journey or a hard day. Advertised minimum rate per night is £276 (July 2015). Less then two minutes walk from Victoria station you can find one of the most tranquil places in London.
