Every morning they line up and sing the National Anthem before heading off to class. We lined up all the shoes by size and set up stations for each team member. After helping set up, the first job I volunteered for was to wash the children’s feet. John started up a competitive game of spoons while others showered.

I love watching the kids get all excited about playing in the snow but a small part of me dreads getting them bundled up and then un-bundled again. This time I put up a few Command hooks to hang jackets and snow pants. My kids love hooks and the next time they came in they actually hung their stuff up…Surprise!

We set up and organized all of the shoes, this time to be given to children, women and men from the neighborhood. As a fight broke out outside, we started packing up. We left the compound and continued driving up the hillside to do some sightseeing. You never know what it will be like, you just get there when you get there.
